Training, qualifications & experience
During my counselling training, I gained experiences at The Cellar Trust, in Shipley; at UK Counselling Network (UKCN) in Drighlington and Free Your Mind, in Leeds.
As a midwife working in the NHS, I developed special interests and skills in supporting those who have experienced difficulty conceiving, childbirth anxiety, birth trauma and people who have experienced pregnancy loss.
I am also experienced in supporting those who have had a late pregnancy or stillbirth loss . I am presently undertaking further specialist training with the Pregnancy and Neonatal Loss charity Petals to develop my skills and expertise further in this area. Additionally, I am undertaking advanced infertility counselling training with the British Infertility Counselling Association (BICA).
My role as a genetic counsellor has given me extensive experience in working with people and families, who are concerned that they have an inherited condition within the family, and may benefit from additional psychological support.
